Evaluations of groundwood are normally based on the entire pulp.By characterising the specific pulp fractions, e.g. their surface properties etc., information can be gained on the relationship between grinding and the pulp properties.The grinding process may subsequently be developed in optional directions to provide groundwood for specific paper use.
