The aim of the research is to focus on the new private providers of the welfare services, that are part of the restructuring of the welfare state and one of the outcomes of the privatising processes that are visible in many of the European countries.The focus will be on the new private actors and on the reorganisation of some of the welfare services.The intention is to compare the development in various countries, yet by following the logic of development and restructuring in each country, not by comparing variables.The results of the project have been published in two books (in Finland) and several articles by the researchers.
