Psychological aftermath after hysterectomy.Anxiety, depression, aggression and unrealistic expections in association with the outcome of the hysterectomy was investigated.Increased knowledge about the outcome decreases depression and a booklet provided both physiological and psychological knowledge about the surgery and its outcome was prepared.This intervention is aimed at decreasing aversive psychological aftermath after this kind of gynecological surgery.
