On March 23, 1983 Amnesty International launched a worldwide campaign against political murder committed by states.In several of the national Amnesty International sections teams of jurists give professional assistance to Amnesty International, and they try to help jurists who have been imprisoned for reasons of opinion.A jurist team was formed in the Finnish section in the autumn of 1979, and its purpose is to spread information among jurists about the activities of Amnesty International.
