Kirjoituksessa viitataan korkeimman oikeuden tapauksiin. The article deals with the legal power of the police and the possibilities of misusing power.Because of the extensive pre-trial investigation power of the police, Finland had to make reservations when ratifying the UN Convention of Civil and Political Rights in 1975.The power of the Finnish police differed from the requirements of the Convention in e.g. the arrest authority, length of detention and use of assistance. The article views Supreme Court cases.
