ABSTRACT: It is difficult to evaluate the implications of the US invasion in Grenada for Nicaragua and Central America. There are two contradictory interpretations. First, like Tom Wicker says in The New York Times, the invasion in Grenada diminishes the posibilities of an invasion in Central America. The second interpretation, which dominates inside the Central American left wing, is that the invasion in Grenada ahas strengthen the determination of the Reagan administration to use the military force in rolling back the revolutionary movements and governments in the Third World.
