The author discusses conscientious objection and the position of conscription groups from the point of view of constitutional rights.The work deals with freedom of conscience as a basic right in Finland, the right to conscientious objection as a human right, legislative history of conscription and conscientious objection from 1877 onwards, the application of the temporary law and future prospects.
