ABSTRACT: Under 1970-talet koncentrerades en stor del av utvecklingsländernas aktivitet inom FN på en ny internationell ekonomisk ordning.Detta ledde till att generalförsamlingen 1974 vid sin VI specialsession antog en deklaration om upprättandet av en ny internationell ekonomisk ordning och ett handlingsprogram för att genomföra ordningen.Deklarationen innehåller målsättningen för NIEO och anger bl.a. 20 principer som skall ligga till grund för den. During the 1970s a considerable part of the UN developing countries activities was concentrated on a new international economic world order (NIEO).This resulted in a declaration of the establishment of a new economic world order and an anctivity programme for its implementation during the 6th special session of the General Assembly in 1974.The declaration contains the objectives for NIEO and lists 20 fundamental principles on which the order should be based.

ABSTRACT: UKTJ-(uusi kansainvälinen talousjärjestys) otsakkeen alla käytävä keskustelu on selvästi laajentanut ja tuonut myös oikeudelliseen keskusteluun uusia kansainvälisen oikeuden tutkijoita vähemmän askarruttaneita kysymyksiä ja uusia lähestymistapoja.Artikkelissa pyritään tarkastelemaan UKTJ-käsitettä oikeudellisesta näkökulmasta ja hahmottamaan UKTJ:n perustuksien asemaa erityisesti Suomen kansainvälisten oikeudellisten suhteiden kannalta. The legal debate concerning NIEO (The New International Word Order) has con- fronted researchers of international law with new approaches and questions.The author tries to look at the NIEO concept from a legal point of view and to outline the position of the NIEO foundations especially with regard to Finnish international legal relations.

ABSTRACT: Kehitysmaiden aloitteesta alettiin 1970-luvun puolivälissä YK:n toimielimissä neuvotella teknologian kauppaan ja hyväksikäytön ehtoihin liittyvistä oikeudellisista järjestelmistä ja säännöistä.UNCTAD:iin päämäärät oli kiteytetty uutta kansainvälistä talousjärjestystä (UKTJ) koskevissa YK:n yleis- kokouksen päätöslauselmissa v. 1974.Varsin pian päästiin yhteisymmärrykseen siitä, että UNCTADin piirissä keskityttiin v. 1976 alkaen luonnostelemaan teknologiansiirtosäännöstöä ja maailman henkisen omaisuuden järjestössä (WIPO) aloitettiin Pariisin teollisoikeuksien suojelua koskevan sopimuksen tarkistaminen ja teollisoikeuksia koskevien mallilakien valmistelu.Artikkelissa selvitetään kuinka kansainvälistä teknologiaa siirtosäännöstöä koskeviin neuvotteluihin on tunnettu kiinnostusta myös kansainvälisen oikeuden kehittämisen kannalta, neuvotteluille asetetut tavoitteet ja niiden merkitys kansainvälisen oikeuden kannalta. In the mid 70s - on the initiative of the developing countries - the UN organs started to discuss legal arrangements and regulations on technological trade, and preconditions of utilization.The UNCTAD objectives were defined in the General Assembly resolutions on the New International Economic World Order (NIEO) in 1974.It was agreed upon that UNCTAD should concentrate on the drafting of technological transfer regulations, and WIPO should start to revise the Paris Peace Treaty on Protection of Industrial Rights.WIPO was also to prepare models for laws of industrial rights.The author argues that there has been international interest in the regulations on transfer of technology with respect to development of international law.The article gives an account of the objectives of the talks and their importance from the point of view of international law.
